I Don't

From Ananova News:

I Don't ...

(Do not try this at home kids...)

Bride's joke backfires

A bride in Austria who replied 'I don't' as a joke has found out that the joke was on her.
The wedding officiant refused to continue the marriage ceremony.

(Hahahaha....I get it)

Tina Albrecht, who is 27, was going to to marry her fiancé Dietmar Koch, who is 29, in a castle in the town of Steyr, located in Upper Austria.

(I bet that she is still laughing at this one)

Tina, who is a receptionist tried to bring a bit of humor into the marriage ceremony and tried to play a joke by saying "I don't".

(A receptionist with a sense of humour)

Authorities called off the wedding ceremony.

In Austria, the law says that if either party replies to the key question in the negative the wedding is cancelled and cannot be rescheduled for at least 10 weeks.
This is for the purpose of preventing forced marriages.

(I wonder if the groom needed to be forced to marry the bride after this mess...?)

Tina Albrecht said: "We had to send all our guests home and now we have to wait until March before we can try again. In retrospect it was probably not so funny."

(You say.....)

Next time - when the part about " If anyone can show just cause as to why this couple may not be lawfully married - speak now or hearafter hold your peace...." Make sure the family keeps quiet - or else.
